Engineering

Our experienced team of engineers in the fields of Electronics and Communications, Computer Science and Mechanical Design work together to conceptualize, design and develop a wide variety of test, measurement and control solutions for some of the most demanding applications in the industry. With their experience in a wide range of fields, they also work to provide support to our clients with regards to training, applications engineering and feasibility studies.

Our dedicated team of Hardware Technicians are all well-trained professionals with a minimum of two years’ formal education in Industrial Electronics and similar courses at reputable technical training institutions such as the Meralco Foundation. They team up to provide invaluable services in the design, assembly, test, installation, documentation, training and support of all our systems and installations.

The capabilities of our engineering team include analog and digital circuit design, as well as embedded systems design with micro-controllers from various manufacturers such as Microchip, Atmel, Intel, Motorola and Texas Instruments. We also design, lay out and assemble our own Printed Circuit Boards (with plated-through holes and often with multiple layers), although we have them manufactured to exacting standards in the U.S.A. We design, manufacture and assemble our own loadboards and high-current switching modules in-house. We also have extensive in-house design capabilities for jigs and fixtures and the final assembly is done in-house, although most of the parts are manufactured to our specifications by external machine shops. We are familiar with a wide variety of software development environments, including LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI as well as C, VC++, QuickBasic, Visual Basic, Pascal, Delphi and Assembler. We have installed numerous systems implementing technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP), as well as communication protocols such as CAN and TCP/IP. We are particularly strong in Machine Vision and Automated Optical Inspection.

M. Hansson Consulting, Inc. is proud to have long-standing relationships with a team of consultants, based in the Philippines, U.S.A. and Sweden, who provide invaluable support in projects that require their specific skills. We also work with academic staff at top engineering schools in the Manila area for consulting services, use of laboratory facilities and recruitment.
